Afnet is a freight forwarding company based in South Africa with offices in Johannesburg, Durban and Port Elizabeth. We strive to offer all our clients and contractors the best possible service and value for money in the industry, while offering the full package regarding logistics and transport solutions. Our main emphasis is on service and we are proud of what we have been able to achieve in this area, coupled with a continuous improvement programme.

Afnet was formed in 1996, and was started primarily as a transport company, but has since expanded into the logistics solutions we now offer. This includes transport, warehousing and procurement for our foreign based clients, handling, packing, crating, trans-shipping, handling hazardous cargo, abnormal cargo and that little extra the client may require. We have retained the same bank account from our inception, and managed to build solid references within our company.

Johannesburg Branch

Afnet CC was formed in 1996, and was started primarily as a transport company, but has since expanded into the logistics solutions we now offer. This includes transport, warehousing, procurement for our foreign based clients, handling, packing, crating, trans-shipping, handling hazardous cargo, abnormal cargo and the little extra the client may require. We have retained the same bank account from our inception, and managed to build solid references on our company. We adhere to strict accounting practices, and have retained the services of our auditing firm Q.R. Smith and Associates. In addition to this we continue to expand our services and the routes we offer, and intend to continue this trend. In 2007 we expanded our warehousing to be able to accommodate more of our clientele requirements, as well as increase the tonnages we can now handle. We have managed to achieve steady growth in every sector since the first year we commenced business and through service and the loyalty of our clients will continue to do so.

Durban Branch

Afnet Durban PTY has been opened as an extension of the Afnet Johannesburg office in order to improve and expand the logistics solutions we are able to offer.

This office will continue to provide all the services we currently offer as well as a more improved service for all your port requirements and as a subsidiary of the Johannesburg office continue to provide the benefits of our current portfolio. We also have a container logistics division, that can provide container rentals, container cabotage and sales.

 

Eastern Cape Branch

The Afnet Eastern Cape (PTY) LTD Office was started in May 2015 and is headed up by Kelli Blignaut. Kelli has also been in the freight industry in excess of 3 years and has a wealth of knowledge. Not only is she qualified in this industry, but comes with vast experience in the shipping industry and oil and gas industry.

This office was established in an effort to continually expand our footprint across Africa as well as promote the services we offier in this region. By having a presence on the ground in the Cape region, our customers will be able to enjoy the hands on approach and have a representative they can meet and discuss their requirements.

In addition to the standard across the board services this office will offer, they are also able to handle your local freight requirements, Cape based sea freight requirements, warehousing, handling, and services to the chemical and allied industry including vessel supply and procurement.
